Vistara is an Indian full-service carrier headquarters in Gurgaon. Vistara was a joint venture between TATA Sons and SINGAPORE airlines. The carrier commenced operations on 9 January 2015, between Delhi and Mumbai. A Vistara operate 43 destinations with the 55 fleets such as Airbus A320, Airbus A321neo, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.

          The TATA Sons and SINGAPORE airlines had made a bid in the mid of 1990s to launch a full- service carrier (FSC) in india but that was so unsuccessful. After that TATA Sons owing 51 percent and SINGAPORE airlines remaining 49 percent.

The name VISTARA taken from the Sanskrit, meaning “ limitless expanse”. Vistara got air operator’s  certificate from DGCA( Directorate General Civil Aviation on 15 December 2014 and they started operations on 9 January 2015. From the months of operations vistara consistently achieved very high on- time performance records over 90% among India’s domestic carriers. February 2016, vistara has a share of 2% in the domestic carriers market. Vistara received the membership of the INTERNATIONAL AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATON (IATA).On July 2019, Vistara announced that their first international flight would be Singapore. The carrier  started international flight from DELHI to SINGAPORE on 6 August and MUMBAI to SINGAPORE on 7 August using Boeing 737-800NG.

          On 29 February 2020, the airline took the delivery of its first Boeing 787-9, becoming the first Indian airline to operate this aircraft. On 28 May 2020, vistara operated first commercial flight on Boeing 787-9 between DELHI to KOLKATA route. During that year 28 August, the first intercontinental flight between DELHI to LONDON HEATHROW.

          In November 2022, TATA Group and SINGAPORE airlines confirmed the merger of two airlines into single airline. This merger is excepted to be completed by March 2024 with take up to 25.1% of stake in SINGAPORE airlines.

83% jet fuel which cut down CO2 emissions by 4500kg. This was India’s first commercial flight with sustainable aviation fuel.

VISTARA FFP( Frequent Flying Program)

Vistara uses Club VISTARA  as its frequent flying program. It operates as a value- based program and awards points on the basis of money spent on tickets rather than miles travelled by passengers.   On 29 January 2015, airline announced  a partnership agreement with Singapore airlines which would allow club vistara members to earn and redeem miles with the KRISFLYER program on Singapore airlines flight.

Eligibility Criteria:

§  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Graduates from a recognized Board or University as determined.

§  DESIRED SKILLS: good communication skills, customer service aptitude, open to work in rotational shifts, able to work under pressure.

§  Airport operations experience preferred.

§  No visible tattoo marks/ body art.

§  Interviewed candidates can reapply after 6 months.

Requirement:

Mandatory requirement:

For freshers:

Preferable requirement:

ü For customer service      well versed in customer dealing

CUSTOMER SERVCE (Job purpose):

To carry out safe and secure on time operations in accordance with the ground operations manual and all applicable procedures.

Responsibilities:

·       RESERVATIONS & TICKETING

ü Making reservations across the counter

ü Selling of tickets

ü Remitting cash to the concerned department

ü Answering customer queries over the telephone

·       DEPARTURES

ü Attend the pre- flight and post flight briefings

ü Setting up of check in counters

ü Screening of checked in baggage

ü Maintain high quality of check in procedures

ü To assist customers with special requests

·       ARRIVALS

ü To assist customers with special requests

ü To assist customers with mishandled/ damaged baggage.

ü Prepare all required reports for the same.

ü Co-ordination with the baggage vendor for the damaged bags

ü Follow up with the en-route stations regarding lost baggage

·       POST FLIGHT DEPARTURE

ü Filing of all necessary flight papers

ü Any other responsibility assigned by the management from time to time

RAMP

L&T & LO Certification preferred

ü Confirm the ETA of the flight from OCC or the system( Navitaire)

ü Take the bay no. from the Apron and convey it to all the stations on R .T

ü Ensure that you are at the bay for D-20 mins with all the equipment required

ü Note down the touchdown and chocks and convey it on R.T

ü Align the Ramp property

ü Make sure there are enough coaches available for deplaning the pax and take care that baggage should reach arrival before the pax

ü Check the cleaning and take the boarding clearance from the cabin crew and announce it on R.T

ü Make sure loading is done as per the loading instruction report given by the load and trim staff

ü After departure make sure that all the equipments are sent back to the transport yard

ü Fill the Ramp filling

ü During the flight ensure everyone is smooth, safe and flight s on time

SECURITY SERVICE EXECUTIVE

ü Screen all accessible property for prohibited items using x-ray units and / physical search procedures.

ü Screen passengers using HHMD (Hand held metal detector) and pat down search.

ü Subject to additional security search for selectee passenger

ü Exercise access control to the aircraft as per security norms.

ü Undertake aircraft Ramp surveillance & check as per lad down process.

ü Undertake baggage reconciliation process and security checks at BMA( Baggage Makeup Area).

ü Undertake security functions at the catering unit including search of bulk items and catering truck and trolleys.

ü Undertake surveillance at the check-in area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ü Should be a basic AVSEC qualified.

ü Certified screener is desirable.

ü Graduate from a recognized university.
